The Happy Mama Fitness Story

Let me introduce the face behind Happy Mama Fitness - I’m Lucy, Lead Instructor and Creator of Happy Mama Fitness. I am a qualified prenatal and postnatal fitness instructor and also a mum of two young and very boisterous boys!

Pregnancy, labour and the newborn period were all very different with both of my boys, with varying recovery experiences. During my first pregnancy, I wanted to keep working out but with a lack of knowledge and a lot of fear, I stopped all physical exercise. Following the birth of my first son, I struggled mentally and found that gentle exercise really helped. Going through it all again quite soon after, I vowed to stay active during pregnancy and rebuild my fitness during my recovery but I still wasn't sure where to start and so this is when Happy Mama Fitness was born! I truly believe in the benefits of exercising during pregnancy and the postnatal period, not just physically but mentally, and have a passion to share all I have learnt with other mums and mums-to-be.

At Happy Mama Fitness we want to take the fear out of the unknown when it comes to exercising during pregnancy and the postnatal period and give you the confidence in yourself and your body to stay strong, reconnect and build strength.

This is the aim of Happy Mama Fitness. Build strength. Boost confidence. And what better way to work towards these aims than with other women and Mamas who are going through similar experiences to you!
